This cartoon themed trash bin sculpture set is made to order in FRP, with a welded steel armature inside, at a base tooling cost of USD 1,200 to 1,500 per single-piece design. Design and customization

Each bin starts from your concept: a rocket, pencil, bamboo stalk, carrot or cactus, or a mix of shapes for one site. Send a sketch, a photo of an existing character, or a rough dimension plan. We return a shop drawing with the body size, lid opening, liner access and anchor points before tooling begins. A typical single-piece mold runs USD 1,200 to 1,500. Multi-piece sets share handling and freight, so the per-unit cost usually drops as the order grows.

Common options include a hinged or lift-off lid, a removable galvanized liner, a lockable service door and a weighted base. Tell us the waste stream and the collection routine, and we size the opening and liner to match.

Build and materials

The shell is marine-grade unsaturated polyester resin with chopped strand mat and woven roving, finished with a UV-stable gelcoat. A welded steel internal armature carries the load and ties to your anchor points. Stainless hardware is used at hinges, latches and lid pivots. This is a custom fiberglass sculpture build, not a rotomolded bin, so wall thickness and reinforcement are set for the shape and the site.

Outdoor service life is 10 to 30+ years. Plan a repaint or re-coat every 5 to 7 years to keep the surface and color fresh.

Finishes, color and site requirements

Color is matched to any Pantone shade at 98 percent accuracy, with an automotive-grade polyurethane topcoat in gloss or matte. Small details such as eyes, leaves or pencil tips are masked and painted by hand.

• Anchor to a concrete pad or use a weighted internal base for hardscape and mall floors.
• Leave clearance for the lid swing and liner removal.
• Keep drainage paths clear where the bin sits on soil or turf.

Production takes 3 to 6 weeks for standard pieces and 12 to 16 weeks for oversized or multi-piece installations. Sea freight DDP to the USA takes 5 to 9 weeks and costs about 80 percent less than air; air freight takes 7 to 10 days.
