Colorful Giraffe Garden Sculpture Set
This giraffe set is built as a group of four freestanding sculptures, typically 2 to 3.5 m tall, with a mold cost of USD 1,200 to 1,500 per piece. Each unit is made to order from your drawings or reference photos, so you control height, pose, and color. FibraCraft has shipped to the USA since 2017 and completed 50+ US installations.
Design and customization
Send a sketch, a photo, or a dimensioned drawing. We confirm the pose, leg spacing, and base size before tooling starts. For a set like this, the usual approach is one shared body mold with different neck and leg positions, which keeps tooling at USD 1,200 to 1,500 per piece instead of a full mold for every animal. Heights from 1.5 m to 4 m are common for garden and mall work. If the set goes into a theme park or a public plaza, tell us the wind load and the anchoring surface, concrete or paving, at the quote stage. Every project is a custom fiberglass sculpture build, so nothing is pulled from stock.
Build and materials
The shell is marine-grade unsaturated polyester resin with chopped strand mat and woven roving, laid up over a welded steel internal armature. The armature carries the load from the neck and legs down to a steel base plate. Stainless hardware is used at all fixing points. The exterior gets a UV-stable gelcoat, then an automotive-grade polyurethane topcoat. Outdoors, expect 10 to 30+ years of service life with a repaint or re-coat every 5 to 7 years. Indoors, the finish lasts much longer. We do not use fillers to fake thickness in load-bearing areas.
Finishes and color
Any Pantone shade is matched to 98% accuracy. The pop-art look on this set depends on clean color breaks between panels, so we mask and spray each color separately rather than hand-painting edges. Gloss or matte topcoat is available. Matte hides small surface scratches better in public spaces; gloss reads brighter in photos and at night under lighting. We send a spray-out sample on the actual shell material for approval before the full paint stage. Small touch-up kits ship with each crate.
Installation, budget, and lead time
Pieces up to about 2.5 m usually ship with the armature pre-mounted and a base plate drilled for anchor bolts. Larger pieces ship in two or three sections with a bolt-together joint and a alignment jig. You set the base on a leveled concrete pad, anchor with stainless bolts, then torque to the spec sheet we supply. Budget bands are USD 1,200 to 5,000 for a single small piece, 4,500 to 12,000 for a mid-size installation, and 30,000 to 150,000 for a large multi-piece project. Size, surface detail, armature complexity, finish, and freight move the number most. Lead time is 3 to 6 weeks for standard pieces and 12 to 16 weeks for oversized or multi-piece sets. Sea freight DDP runs 5 to 9 weeks; air is 7 to 10 days. request a quote and we return an itemized USD quote within 24 hours.

Frequently Asked Questions
How tall can the giraffes be, and how much does size affect the price?
We build from 1.5 m to 4 m tall as standard, and taller on request. Height drives material volume, armature steel, and freight, so a 4 m piece can cost two to three times a 2 m piece. Mold cost stays at USD 1,200 to 1,500 per design. Send your target height and site photos for a firm number.
How do we anchor the sculptures outdoors, and what surface do we need?
Each piece ships with a steel base plate drilled for stainless anchor bolts and a torque spec sheet. We recommend a leveled concrete pad at least 100 mm thick, sized to the base footprint plus 200 mm on each side. For windy sites, tell us the design wind speed at the quote stage so we can size the armature.
What is the lead time and freight cost to the USA?
Standard pieces take 3 to 6 weeks in production; oversized or multi-piece sets take 12 to 16 weeks. Sea freight door-to-door DDP is 5 to 9 weeks and runs about 80% cheaper than air, which is 7 to 10 days. We list mold, production, finish, and freight separately in the USD quote, returned within 24 hours.
